Airedale Celebrates 50 years
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Airedale, having been founded back in 1974.
Peter Midgeley and Alan Duttine were two local air conditioning engineers, left waiting for a delayed flight at what was then Yeadon Airport, now Leeds Bradford Airport.
As they talked, they both recognised the business opportunity presented by the increasing use of computerised systems in manufacturing and other UK businesses. To cut a much longer story short, Airedale was formed.
We have gone from strength to strength over the past 50 years, with our finger on the pulse of data centre cooling innovations. One thing we are very proud of is that Airedale has remained committed to efficiency and effectiveness throughout our history, long before environmental legislation was brought in. We constantly strive for performance gains, seeking efficiencies that protect our planet, reduce energy consumption and improve customer satisfaction.
What endures at Airedale, and perhaps makes us different from other organisations is that we recognise that our strength lies in our people. We are only able to continue to innovate, manufacture, sell, install, service and serve because of the expertise, commitment and passion of our people. We work hard to nurture and develop our teams, offering training and development opportunities where we can.
To mark this special year, we have released a new “Airedale 50” logo across our website and social media platforms.
As we reflect on this remarkable journey, we eagerly embrace the promise of the next 50 years.
