Controls Electrical Design Engineer

The Opportunity

Due to continued company growth we now have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join the team at Airedale and work as part of the Controls Department based in Leeds.

Role Requirements

  • Generate drawings with our AutoCAD CAD package for controls upgrades.
  • Project management/ownership of electrical design projects.
  • Provide technical support for the Controls Sales team.
  • SAP production ordering & material processing ordering.
  • New part no. creation.
  • Liaise with all key suppliers.
  • Project based part cost negotiation.
  • Draw bespoke schematics for Controls Products which include but is not limited to:
    • Optimisation packages
    • BMS monitoring/control panels
    • Airewall control panels
  • Create panel layout design.
  • Create appendices & supporting documents to aid manufacture, installation & maintenance.
  • Provide technical support for the production team.
  • Manage material & unit despatches.
  • Provide technical support for the site team installing & commissioning our products.
  • High level of technical support for the Customers once our works are completed.
  • Material management & warranty replacement.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical (or similar) Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD Electrical
  • Working knowledge/understanding of basic inputs and outputs of PLC controllers
  • Past experience working with SAP
  • Experience of working with panel build or panel wiring.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an electrical design role.
  • Strong team working skills.
