The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Commercial & Industrial Business Unit for a proactive individual to join the Southern sales team to cover the London & South East region. This role reports directly to the Commercial & Industrial Southern Sales Manager.
The Role
- Achieve overall sales target – selling standard and bespoke ranges in line with Specifications.
- Generation of sales leads and managing the process from initial enquiry to order placement, including final negotiation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, consultants and end users ,in line with 80/20 strategy.
- Seek new business opportunities and create new relationships.
- Understand market requirements.
- With the support of Applications teams, select and cost products using bespoke software packages.
- Feed into Product Development to assist with coordinating sales strategy with the right equipment and cost elements clearly defined.
- Identify market movers (new products, systems, trends)
- Proactive forward planning of monthly appointments and meetings.
- Update required data in a readily manner for monthly sales reports accurately.
Skills/Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and/or the Building Services/HVAC industry (ideally Engineering qualification required, minimum HND or degree)
- Ability to understand air conditioning systems, chilled water systems, controls systems, air processes and psychometrics.
- Ability to communicate and work with different groups of people effectively throughout Airedale and externally.
- You will have established contacts within Mechanical and Electrical Consultants and Contractors.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence and ability to provide sales & CPD presentations
- Computer literate including use of Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Training will be provided for the right applicant to develop the skills and knowledge required for the position.
