Superdrug Stores PLC is a leading health and beauty retailer operating over 700 stores throughout the UK. Two of Superdrug’s West Yorkshire stores, Bradford and Halifax, required air conditioning systems for comfort and air quality. The Stores specified an energy efficient system which would keep a constant temperature of 18-23ºC.

North Yorkshire based Harrogate Hydro provides leisure facilities to the Harrogate community and has 800 full time members. Three swimming pools offer a range of activities and Brimham’s fitness centre with its state of the art fitness equipment has a purpose built dance studio and changing rooms. Harrogate Council was aware that the nature of the complex and overall size of the building warranted air conditioning.
University of Leeds

The high performance computing (HPC) facility of the University of Leeds provides its researchers with access to a large number of computer intensive servers for computational modeling. Higher densities have created an extra 30kW of load per 42U rack, which could not be cooled by conventional CRAC units. The University sought an alternative solution from Airedale that meets the University’s criteria of investment in energy efficient, latest technology in its data centres.

Embarking on a £150 million renovation programme and with 1,000 computers on the site, there was a need for a new data centre and appropriate, reliable and efficient cooling of the space.
